Attempted Play Date
The first weekend in January, we attempted to have a play date with Casey and Carly since they haven't seen AnnaBeth since she was only a month or so old. Casey was super excited to us both but Carly was more interested in the playground. After Casey gave AnnaBeth a big hug, he started riding his scooter and 10 minutes into playing, he had a big crash which resulted in a nice sized gash near his eye. That quickly ended our play date as his mom took him to urgent care. A few hours later, we got word that after a trip to urgent care, then to the hospital, his gash was glued shut by the ER doctor (which made Casey very happy...he did NOT want stitches!) and he was going to be fine :) We will have to try again for a play date and this time, no scooters on a gravel filled sidewalk!

That was the biggest debacle in a long time. You were polite in your blog about it! Casey sure did love your sweet girl, though. I'll have to slink back there with all my chaos and try to hold AnnaBeth myself again soon. Thanks again for the washcloth! Your girl is a beauty......
Yeah, I thought about adding in the many minutes of "I DON'T WANT STITCHES!" "I DON'T WANT TO GO TO THE ER!" screaming but decided against it. Casey was a real trooper (despite the frantic yelling). Maybe we should come play at your house next time :)
