AnnaBeth had her 3 year checkup today. She weighs 29 lbs (10%) and is 3 ft tall (26%). I'm not totally sure the height is dead on because she was afraid to stand against the wall to be measured. She's totally healthy and is ahead of the game with speaking. Her doctor asked her a bunch of questions which she answered all of them correctly. My favorite was "AnnaBeth do you know how to brush your teeth?" "Mommy brushes them for me."
On our way home from the doctor, we stopped at the grocery store because I wanted her to have a special birthday balloon. She picked Lightning McQueen and then we headed to the bakery where they had giant cupcakes! She picked the one with pink frosting.
Then we met Daddy and Jim at Joe's BBQ for lunch. Since it's her birthday, she got to eat for free! Here she has taken the top bun of her chicken sandwich and is stabbing pieces off of it to eat. She did end up eating some of the delicious mac and cheese and some of the chicken.
Watching the little birds take a bath in a puddle
Found a fly to pester
After lunch we headed to the shop where she was super surprised to find her presents in the office!
The festivities were a bit too much for Mason
A play market stand with play food and play money included
A 90 piece set of play food
A fun lego set
A flower patch sprinkler thing to attach to the hose
Picking up the paper
The cupcake!
Waiting for Daddy to light the candles
Happily watching the video Tia Yaya sent to my phone of her singing happy birthday to AnnaBeth
Not a single bite of cupcake....all she ate was frosting
"Get in my belly sock!"
We are going the leave the market stand and play food at the shop for her to always have something to play with there
Notice the shop dirt around her eyes?
This sums it up pretty well...our girl is a birthday champ!!
This is sort of going to be a birthday celebration week. Tomorrow the kids and I are meeting my parents and Geli at the science center and then we are going to the zoo with them on Wednesday. Also on Wednesday we will be going to Kent's parents like we do every Wednesday and we will have pizza and ice cream cake before her cousins go to Awana. And then on Saturday we're having her party here at our house with my parents, Geli and Mike, Kent's parents as well as Tammi and Rene.
