Telling the Family

On Saturday July 26th, my family was coming over to celebrate Geli's birthday. Since mom and dad already knew, we only had to tell Mike and his girlfriend Kasey, and Geli. Mike didn't believe it at first and then when he realized we weren't joking, he lovingly pointed at me and said "haha....you're going to get fat and waddle." Geli didn't really say much about it...I guess it's a little hard for a 6 year old to understand these things.

The next day we got together with Kent's family to celebrate Wayne's birthday. His dad had gotten called out so when his mom said the prayer, she threw in a little something about a new addition to the family. However, it wasn't as clear as we had hoped and Laura was a little confused and thought she was the last to know. I told her to think about it a little more and then Jill asked "Are you guys pregnant????" We said yes and of course, everyone was excited. Jacob on the other hand, wasn't quite sure what we were all talking about so his Nana informed him that there is going to be another baby in the family and he is going to have another cousin. He naturally assumed it was Julie again so he looked at her, looked at her belly and was satisfied with that. Nana then had to tell him it was his Aunt AMA who is having the baby. So he looked at me and looked at my belly and had this look on his face like he thought we were kidding since I don't look pregnant at all. But he never said anything else about it so he either believed it or he didn't =)
