Zoo June 3, 2011
Friday was my day off from work so AnnaBeth and I went to the zoo with my co-worker Retta and her daughter Kayla. AnnaBeth had been looking forward to going to see the animals since Thursday when I asked if she wanted to go see them. We spent about 3 hours there and she did really well with staying in her stroller. She did stand up in it at each exhibit so she could see better. While at the petting zoo, one of the trouble maker goats stuck his head through the fence and grabbed our zip lock baggie of kettle corn right out of the stroller! With the help of a zoo worker we were able to get the bag away (he only ate a small piece of it) and the kettle corn spilled all over the ground. A few of the goats came running over as fast as they could to eat it all up before the zoo worker could sweep it up. The girls had a really great time but unfortunately, that may have been our last chance to visit the zoo until it cools down at bit in a few months. As a zoo member, I can get in at 6am but everyone in our house is still sleeping at the time so we may just have to visit the science center quite a few times this summer where we can have lots of fun inside where it's air conditioned. Anyway, enjoy our zoo pictures!
